I have primary custody of my daughter and share joint legal with my ex-husband. Recently he has been very verbally abusive to me. It all started with him getting upset about child support and has just gotten worse and worse. He has also gotten into a lot of trouble for drinking and driving and is on probation. I knew of him breaking his probation and talked with his officer and got he in some trouble - another reason he is mad. His girlfriend is sticking her nose into it all and attempting to tell me how to handle my daughter and throwing threats about me being in violation of court orders, etc. This began because I asked my ex to either pick her up at 5:30 or at 6:30 (instead of the usual 6:00) because of a personal matter. They said I had to be home at 6:00 or they would get law enforcement and file contempt charges against me. They did bring an officer and after my ex left I informed him that I told ex I would be late and had given him the option of picking daughter up early or alittle later than usual. He told me that was not why he was called. Ex told the officer that he felt threatened and wanted him there for safety reasons. What a joke! He is intimidated by my husband I know. But he is reaching for something to look bad on me. If he continues to do this couldn't that be a form of harrassment? I do not want my only child to grow up seeing that this is how adults handle their problems.
