I got a stipulation form from child support, they told me if the mother and I agree we can lower my payments w/o going into court. We agreed on an amount because I took a pay cut when I lost my job, my ex signed it and it mailing it back to me so, I can file it. Will child support go for it? My ex is now working, she wasn't when the order was placed, I make $1.25 less then when the order was placed but, the amount we came up with is over $100 less then what I was paying, I checked the support caculator for my state, and the amount we came up with is within there standards. The only problem is my ex is on state assistance but, I thought they would agree as long as both parents agree....Is that true, or are we wasting our time?
